So many things have changed since we opened our doors in 1901, but the way we put our customers first has not.

Our History

First National Bank Texas (FNBT) was founded in 1901 in the Central Texas town of Killeen, only 19 years after the city was established. Our bank has grown alongside the communities we serve, and we are still researching and finding new ways to make banking better. After opening our first in-store location in 1994, our bank realized that our customers could benefit from more convenient locations and hours. Five years later, we brought our tradition of great service to 26 Walmart Supercenters across Texas. We are now proud to have more than 300 locations throughout Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Community Service

Our company gives many opportunities for our employees to give back to the communities where we live and work. From cleaning up the local park to contributing to charities, there are lots of ways to make a difference. Many of our branches host charity drives or participate in community service.

Our Employee Contribution Program allows employees to deduct money directly from each paycheck or to make a one-time contribution to the March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, the United Way and/or the Wounded Warrior Project. Our employees have already donated about half a million dollars over the past five years!
